ILIANA CASTANEDA

Ms. Castaneda represents insurance carriers, employers, and third-party administrators in all aspects of litigation including case evaluation, discovery, depositions, and appearances before the WCAB. Prior to joining Wintersteen | Casarez, Ms. Castaneda practiced at a workers’ compensation defense firm in Southern California addressing liens, litigation strategies, and negotiating favorable settlements for clients. Ms. Castaneda is committed to being a zealous advocate for clients and prioritizes early resolution with cost-effective outcomes.

Ms. Castaneda received her Juris Doctorate from Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law in 2024 where she was on the board of the Chapman Women Lawyers Association and Art Law Society. During law school, Ms. Castaneda spent a month studying international law, cultural heritage, and art law at the University of Siena in Siena, Italy. She also volunteered with Ukrainian Mothers and Children Transport Initiative where she facilitated the arrival of Ukrainian refugees to the United States through humanitarian parole. Ms. Castaneda received her B.A. from California State University, Fullerton, in Art History in 2020, graduating cum laude. She also received her Associates Degree in Art History from Orange Coast College where she was a member of the women’s soccer team.

When she is not working, Ms. Castaneda enjoys traveling, watching Angel City FC matches, and spending time with friends and family.
