TAYLOR HORTON

Ms. Horton is a Law Clerk in the firm’s Sacramento office.

Prior to joining Wintersteen | Casarez, Ms. Horton worked for seven years at an applicant-side workers’ compensation firm, including serving as a Hearing Representative. Her experience on both sides of the workers’ compensation system provides valuable perspective in case analysis and resolution strategy.

Ms. Horton earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Italian Studies from UC Davis and a Master of Arts in Global Studies from UC Santa Barbara. She is currently a full-time J.D. candidate at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and expects to graduate in May 2027. She is a Justice Anthony M. Kennedy Scholarship recipient, Dean’s Honor List student, and has been recognized with the CALI Award for highest academic achievement in courses including Civil Procedure, Global Lawyering Skills II, and Global Lawyering Skills III. Ms. Horton was also named Top Oral Advocate in McGeorge’s annual Global Lawyering Skills III Oral Advocacy Competition.

Outside of work and school, Ms. Horton enjoys spending time with her wife, Katie, and their two cats, Sweet Pea and Dipper. She is an avid fan of science fiction and fantasy and enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragons.
