RAQUEL VARGAS

Raquel Ayala Vargas is an Associate Attorney in the firm’s Sacramento office, where she focuses her practice on workers’ compensation defense. She represents employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators, providing effective advocacy and practical strategies to resolve claims efficiently and in compliance with California labor law.

Ms. Vargas brings more than 16 years of experience in legislative and regulatory advocacy, having represented public agencies, veterans’ organizations, and nonprofits before the California State Legislature and administrative bodies. Her background includes legal analysis, policy drafting, stakeholder negotiation, and client advising—skills she now leverages to protect employer interests in the workers’ compensation system.

She earned her Juris Doctor from Lincoln Law School of Sacramento while working full time, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Journalism from California State University, Sacramento. She is fluent in Spanish and licensed to practice law in California.

Outside of the office, Ms. Vargas enjoys spending time with her husband and two young sons. Together they stay busy with sports, music, and outdoor adventures. Her favorite activities include ocean fishing, gardening, lake days, and snowboarding.
