Ms. Marks is a Senior Associate in our Sacramento office, with experience at both the Northern California and Southern California Workers’ Compensation Appeals Boards. She strongly believes in clear communication, aggressively advocating for each client’s unique needs, and expediently resolving cases.

Prior to joining Wintersteen | Casarez, Ms. Marks worked at a defense firm defending employers, third-party administrators, and insurance companies in all aspects of workers’ compensation claims. She obtained favorable outcomes at both arbitration and Trial, and has successfully pursued third-party subrogation rights and credits. Ms. Marks also worked in-house at Clovis Community Medical Center and in the area of medical malpractice. Moreover, Ms. Marks co-authored an article regarding healthcare cyber vulnerability, which was published in 2015 and presented at the 59th International Association of Lawyers Congress.

Ms. Marks earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology at Fresno State, and subsequently earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego, where she served as an editor for the San Diego Journal of Climate and Energy Law.

When not practicing law, Ms. Marks enjoys going to concerts and spending time with her husband and dog, Frank. Ms. Marks enjoys traveling abroad and her favorite place to visit is Florence, Italy.
