Mr. Montano is a Managing Attorney in our Central Valley Office, with 10 years of experience litigating claims at the Fresno, Bakersfield, and San Luis Obispo Workers’ Compensation Appeals Boards. Prior to joining Wintersteen Casarez, Mr. Montano honed his craft at large nationwide Workers’ Compensation defense firm.

Mr. Montano aggressively represents employers, third-party administrators and insurance carriers in matters ranging from compensability disputes to serious and willful allegations. He is currently involved and participated in events with the Fresno Industrial Claims Association and Professionals in Workers Comp, Fresno Chapter.

Mr. Montano is a proud Army Veteran, having served in the 82^nd Airborne Division prior to pursuing his education. To that end, Mr. Montano has a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of California at Davis, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of San Francisco.

Mr. Montano is also a dedicated practitioner of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, in which he currently holds the rank of Purple Belt. When not working, Mr. Montano enjoys spending time with his wife and their three dogs (Spanky, Cooper and Stanley) and cats (Charlie, Kai and Oliver).
